Black Meets World has officially launched the BMW Creator Fund, a multi-million dollar initiative designed to empower the next generation of African storytellers.
The fund provides essential financial backing, mentorship, and distribution opportunities for emerging creators working across all five divisions of the BMW ecosystem.
Who the Fund Supports
- LemonNPie: Emerging film critics and cultural essayists.
- AfrikLIB: Authors, historians, and archivists.
- FF9ja: Independent filmmakers and documentary directors.
- iCookAfrica: Culinary creators and food historians.
- BMWent: Playwrights, stage directors, and event producers.
“We cannot build a world-class ecosystem without investing in the people who create the magic,” stated the BMW Board. “The Creator Fund is our commitment to ensuring that financial barriers never silence a brilliant African story.”
Applications for the inaugural cohort open next month.
